We recently asserted that Japanese people love trains. For further proof of this claim, we’d like to share a unique item that went on sale in Japan earlier this month that allows users to “enjoy the experience of a train ride with your smartphone” by streaming a YouTube video of the scenery from the window of a moving train from on your phone and inserting into the window of the small plastic train passenger cabin.

This ‘application’ is called “Fully Enjoy the Train Window”* and is part of the new “applism” line of smartphone-integrated toys created by Japanese toy production company WiZ.

There are currently 3 cars available for purchase, all based off real trains: “Uchibō Line 113-kei Suka Iro,” “Tōkaidō Line 185-kei Revival Iro,” and the “Ōigawa Railway Oha 36-kei Budou Iro.” Each set comes with a different “female traveler figurine” to accompany on your miniature journey.

WiZ has even created a channel on YouTube offering train scenery videos for people who don’t have any footage themselves.

“Fully Enjoy” is only compatible with smartphones fitting the dimensions 130 x 66 x 25 or smaller, including the iPhone4S/4/3GS, Galaxy S/S2, REGZAPhone, Xperia and MEDIAS.

Available for purchase on Amazon.co.jp here.

*This product name was arbitrarily translated by RocketNews24 and is not officially endorsed by the manufacturer, though we do think it sounds funny as hell.
