Many of us with glasses have a habit of almost instinctively wiping our lenses with our shirt the moment we find a smudge, which usually only serves to smear it around even more.

Japanese design studio fift realizes that old habits die hard, which is why they’ve embraced the problem and created the Wipe T-shirt, a shirt with strips of microfiber cloth stitched in to keep your glasses and gadgets clean on the go.

You can tell that fift values fashion as much as functionality: the Wipe T-sirt’s features a simple three-stripe “windshield wiper” design that looks like it could be found at a trendy fashion boutique in Shibuya.

In fact, this could be the ultimate piece of hipster apparel. You can use the top strip of microfiber to wipe the fingerprints off your iPhone so you can get a clearer view of that instagram photo you just took, and use the bottom strip to shine the lenses of your favorite pair of black-framed glasses.

And at the absurd price of 6300 yen for Japan or US $89.00 international, the chances of anyone else around you owning the same shirt are probably pretty low.

The Wipe T-shirt comes in blue/black and light grey and is available for purchase from online retailer GENERATE.

A white, long sleeved button-down version of the shirt is also available for US $199.00 on the same site, as are the completely unrelated Gold Pills: 24k gold leaf capsules priced at US $799.00 that may be digested “to increase self worth.”
