We previously posted a numerical problem created by an American engineer that couldn’t be solved without relaxing your brain and thinking like a child.

Today we’d like to share a problem similar in format that has gone viral on the Japanese net.

The problem:

Obviously, as with any problem like this, the solution is not straightforward and requires a bit of thinking outside the box. Many Japanese net users claim the answer came to them almost immediately, while others were left scratching their heads for hours.

We’ll post the answer in a day or two and if you’re looking for a hint…well, we’ve already given it to you. ;)
