Gather ‘round kiddies, it’s time for a RocketNews24 art lesson…IN 3D.. By that we mean the art, not the lesson itself. Today we’d like to share a super simple way to make your own 3D art!
We originally learned about this method from another site, but we’ve posted our own photos and videos below for your instruction.
Here’s how to do it:
Step 1: Trace the outline of your hand on a piece of drawing paper.
Step 2: With magic marker, draw lines horizontally across the paper. The lines should be drawn straight outside of the outline and curved inside the outline. This will make it look like the hand is bulging out of the paper.
Step 3: Use color pencils to color in the lines, making sure not to use the same color for any two adjacent lines.
Step 4: OMG IT’S SO COOL AND 3D!
We had one of our more artistic male acquaintances make a demonstration video, so be sure to check it out for a visual step-by-step guide.
He was also kind enough to draw 3D pictures of our favorite afternoon snack combination: bananas and whisky.

All of the pictures look as though they’re rising out from the paper like they were frozen in colorful carbonite.
Why not try your hand at making a piece of 3D art?
