We’re not quite sure of the story behind this one, but if the map below is a signal of things to come you may soon be able to tour the inside of restaurants or other buildings from the comfort of your own home.

Just imagine the possibilities. Want to order take out from your favorite Japanese restaurant but you forgot to grab a take-home menu during your last visit? Just Google yourself inside the shop and take a look at the menu hanging on the wall in all its high-quality rendered glory! You can even have an image of the restaurant interior up on your computer screen while you’re eating at home and go for a virtual walk outside to burn off those not-so-virtual calories!

The shop is Gottsuya, a Shibuya sushi bar that doesn’t seem to have much else to set it apart from the competition. Still, if you want to check it out for yourself…well, just check the map!
