The evening of July 7 was like that of any other Saturday evening for most families in Chongking, a major city in Southwest China. That is, until a uncensored pornographic video clip suddenly appeared on TV screens in homes throughout the city.

The incident occurred at exactly 7:19 pm, just as most families were gathered around the television for some wholesome prime time programming after enjoying a home-cooked meal.

The TV channel on which the video appeared had been broadcasting a drama when suddenly the Chinese actors on screen were replaced by a busy blonde white woman playing with herself in the nude.

And you thought sex scenes during movies regular TV programs with your family around was awkward…

Some viewers took photos or video of the footage as it was being aired and posted it to the net, where it quickly drew widespread attention. Local police were also quickly informed and the TV station was ordered to shut down roughly 3 minutes after the living room peep show had started.

Authorities immediately began investigating the case and on July 20 it was announced that an employee at the TV station had been arrested on the suspicion of maliciously airing the clip. The suspect admitted his guilt, explaining that he was upset with the TV station’s management and wanted to get back at them.

Putting aside the fact that this guy is a douche for taking out his discontent on innocent viewers, if you’re going to prank users with a video clip, you gotta do it right.
