E-book readers are fast becoming the most popular way to get your reading done. They take up less space and can sometimes be lighter and cleaner than their paper counterparts.
Still, if you’re an old fart like me, you still can’t get used to holding a table and stroking your finger to make a virtual “page” flip over. It just doesn’t feel right.
But with “RichBook”, the new app from feedtailor Inc., you can sync a single e-book between two iPads, thus creating a real e-book book! Despite its name, the app is available for free to download.
The app is compatible with iPod touch, iPad mini, and iPad devices and syncs up via Bluetooth. When you load up your e-book in formats such as rar, zip, or pdf, you can see two pages at once – just like a real book!
By now you’re probably thinking, “This is stupid and you’re stupid for telling me about it.” Well don’t be so quick to judge the “RichBook”: there are hundreds of uses for this app.
Let’s say, for example, you have a high school reunion coming up. Can you think of a better way to show off than by carrying around a book made of iPads? Everyone will surely be impressed with your wealth and strength for carrying around that 1kg plus “book” everywhere you go.
As an excellent way to stick it to others, I recommend folding half of the RichBook over like one does while reading a paperback. It’s the tech version of wiping your butt with money!
How about this? You’ve just finished mastering all the secrets of ninjutsu from the current head of the Koga clan—but who are you going to fight? You can’t just go and attack random people. That’s not very satisfying.
If Steven Seagal movies have taught us one thing, it’s that the best ass whooping is one where someone tries to get all up in your business and take something that isn’t yours, like those evil fat cat developers did with the noble Inuit peoples.
Just take your RichBook out to the nearest poorly lit street or subway station and within mere minutes you will be accosted by street toughs.
So if you’re like me and became a quadruple black belt in various lethal martial arts and have amassed a fortune through winning world championships, this free app is perfect for you.
If not, then the app also comes with English and Japanese versions of Give My Regards to Black Jack, which was recently opened for free publication. That alone makes it worth checking out.
