We can’t decide whether this is the cutest or creepiest thing we’ve ever seen. This train, which transports passengers to the Asahiyama Zoo in Hokkaido, Japan includes a carriage with a children’s play area and stuffed animal seats. Zoo-goers can snuggle up with pairs of owls, reindeer, wolves, giraffes, polar bears, and many more.

Take a Ride on the Zoo Train Where the Seats Stare Back

The Asahiyama Zoo train has been getting a lot of attention on the internet in China recently, with commenters hailing the train as “adorable.” Here’s what they had to say:

It’s so cuuuute!

It’ll be too hot to sit in those seats in the summer.

They look too much like sofas.

They’re probably covered in germs!

I wanna sit in the kangaroo one!

It’d be like riding in another dimension.

We’re not so convinced of this train’s cuteness. Some of those seats look as if they are staring into your soul. I mean, look at the owl one! Just look at it! …Holding his owl twin with those dead eyes!

Anyways, even if you fell in love with the fluffy animal seats, you’ll have to wait a while to sit on them. The interior is currently being updated, so the zoo train is not running its usual course from Sapporo Station to Asahikawa Station. We eagerly await to see what new fuzzy buddies are added to delight/scare the bejeezus out of passengers.

▼   In the meantime, please enjoy a video of the train. You might want to turn off the sound…we don’t know what the heck that music is.
