We try %22snow viewing%22 ramenThere have been plenty of largely portioned bowls of ramen with so much stuff piled on top that you can’t see the noodles beneath. But this one is probably the weirdest mountain-like ramen we’ve ever seen. It appears to be topped with white foam and is closer to looking like a snowy mountain peak than a steaming hot bowl of soup.

This dish is appropriately named “snow viewing ramen.” According to the waitress, while using the spoon to scoop up the “snow,” you’re supposed to cut through the white fluff with your chopsticks to get to the noodles below. Our reporter asked for extra fluffy stuff and according to the waitress, you don’t have to work for RocketNews24 to get extra, anyone can order a large helping of fluff.

The foam is so thick that there’s a bit of resistance when trying to slice through it with your spoon. “What the heck is this?!” thought our reporter. He timidly brought the soup spoon to his lips. After the first bite, he couldn’t quite put his finger on the taste, but our reporter had a feeling he had had it before. After a few more bites of the mystery foam, he realized what it was…meringue. Ramen and meringue! Our reporter was so surprised at the combination. Pushing through the pile of meringue reveals a large helping of soup insulated by the meringue above. No specific word on the taste, but our reporter commented that it’s definitely a strange bowl of ramen.
