If you’re a Pokémon fan, this “Let’s make Pikachu pancakes!” mould is sure to excite you. One Japanese fan recently tried to make her own Pika-licious snack, but her resulting creation went terribly wrong. We wanted to share these fail-blog worthy pictures with you.

Looks easy, right? Think again. Apparently, making Pikachu pancakes is a lot harder than it looks! Here’s one person’s documentation of her valiant attempt:

“It’s no good…this is hard.”

“I bought milk cocoa by accident. I want to punch myself.”

p3

“Darn…so much for that try.”

When other Japanese netizens saw these photos, they responded with funny comments such as “This is what happens when an ordinary mouse uses Thunderbolt,” and “It will be OK if you just cut off the burnt part.” Funnily enough, the Pikachu in the lower left-hand corner of the packaging looks like it’s snickering, too…

If you’re eager to get your hands on your own Pikachu pancake mould or a landslide of other awesome Pokémon goods (seriously, there’s any Pokémon-themed product that you could ever imagine), be sure to check out one of the eight Pokémon Center specialty shops scattered throughout Japan. The newest branch, Pokémon Center TOKYO-BAY, just opened in Chiba Prefecture late last year. You can see each store’s hours of operation in English by checking here.

We hope your own Pokémon culinary adventures turn out better than these pancakes!
