Uterus Man

We’ve seen a lot of anthropomorphic characters coming out of Asia, such as smiling Japanese salmon fillets and Chinese “map girls.” There have been some really strange ones, but we never thought we’d see anthropomorphic lady parts rocketing across our computer screens. But here it is, Uterus Man, directed and edited by Taiwanese artist, Lu Yang.

We know you’re just itching to take a look at Uterus Man, so here he is! Just be warned that actual footage of human insides is included in the animation.

Some netizens lauded Uterus Man as a masterpiece for feminist rights:

“Amazing job. Great thinking behind the concept! For those who didn’t get it, this a feminist masterpiece saying uterus is not something to be ashamed of, it’s something that gives super powers.”

However, not everyone understood the references:

“I saw this on io9 and I have to say that it’s the most truly bizarrely genius piece of animation I’ve ever witnessed. Ever.”

“You guys put so much effort into this and there is some great animation / modelling etc. But seriously – uterus man?”

What’s your take on Uterus Man? Is it an empowering video or just gross? Let us know in the comments section below!
