Frozen has taken Japan and the world by storm, smashing through sales records and bringing a flurry of promotional items. One of the most iconic scenes in the film is Elsa singing Let it Go while giving rise to a beautiful ice castle. It’s too bad we can’t visit her frigid fortress in real life, but we can go to the next best thing: Hokkaido’s Snow Crystal Museum.

The Snow Crystal Museum is quite appropriately located in Japan’s coldest prefecture, Hokkaido. The Hokkaido Folk Arts and Crafts Village in the city of Asahikawa is where you’ll find this unique homage to snowflakes; there’s plenty to be found all around the museum grounds!:

▼ The Crystal Room looks like Elsa built it herself!

Although the Crystal Room is the most obvious when it comes to showing off its snowflakes, there are also plenty of other smaller ones sprinkled throughout the museum.

▼ For example, there are small snowflakes up and down the stairwell.

▼ There are also snowflakes in the halls.

Actually, that beautiful wooden chair you just saw is located in this stunning hall, which is open for weddings and other events:
