Many kids love drawing and playing with colors. Some even drive their parents insane with constant doodles on the walls, tables, and practically any flat surface within proximity. But some are more talented than others, and there’s no doubt that there are child prodigies who can draw better than some adults.

Recently, a proud Japanese dad posted pictures of drawings his six-year-old daughter created of her favorite anime characters. The detailed drawings quickly caught the attention of internet users, with some commenting that the drawings were too good to be created by the hands of a six-year-old! Could this young girl be a budding artist? Check out her drawings after the break!

The person who posted the pictures on an online forum claimed that his six-year-old daughter got inspired to draw these anime characters after he showed her the recorded anime broadcasts, adding on that he was so impressed by the sheer talent of his child, he almost shed a manly tear.

While some of the forum’s users were impressed by the drawings, a greater number of the community were convinced that the drawings didn’t come from the raw talent of a young child. One user even commented that, anyone who has seen drawings of real children would know that the drawings weren’t done by a child.

Observant net users pointed out that the characters in the sketches actually had waists (children tend to draw the torso with straight lines), the characters’ hair were drawn in outline instead of in individual strands, and that the proportions of the characters were almost too perfect to have come from the hands of a kid. They came to a conclusion that it was more likely that an adult deliberately drew poorly to pass it off as a child’s work.

Soon after the criticism appeared on the thread, the man who originally created the thread vanished from the long list of comments, not offering any response or explanation, nor defending his “daughter’s” art.

What do you think, Rocketeers? Would you give the young artist the benefit of the doubt, or are you standing on the same line as the forum users who called out the unnatural details in the drawings? Fire up the discussion in the comments section below!
