Cats are known throughout the world for their amazing ability to put themselves exactly where they don’t belong. Whether they’re plunged deep where the sun doesn’t shine into a narrow crawl space or looking down on their “hoomans” from the attic, there’s no end to their hiding spots.

However, one Japanese Twiter user found her cat in what could best be described as a “compromising” position…under the toilet faucet!

The photo above was tweeted by @ikuyasu_elddrd, a self-described “fujoshi” with a love for drawing, cats, and BL. Her photo came with this fictional (we assume) exchange between herself and the cat.

Cat: “Hunh? If I sit here, I’ll get wet, won’t I?”
Me: “You’re so sh-mart, aren’t you, kitty?! (Stupid cat!)”

@ikuyasu_elddrd soon received a response from another Twitter user saying: “Despite all that, it refuses to give up its spot! LOLOL!”

Other Internet commenters joined the conversation with such surreal statements as “I am the toilet” and “Please give me that statue!” Of course, others were of the garden variety kind, such as “Cute!” and “What a beautiful cat!” Other commenters quipped, “That’s a pro cat for you, never forgetting to look into the camera!” and “I love the ‘what’cha gonna do about it?’ look on the cat’s face!” And we totally had to agree with the commenter who said, “I don’t think anything would ‘come out’ with the cat sitting there staring at me like that!”

But perhaps our favorite comment was this “explanation” of the origin of the kanji 凸凹 (“deko poko” which means “sticking out” and “indented” respectively or, taken together, “bumpy”): “This is where ‘deko poko’ comes from! (Fake folk etymology…)”

After admiring the gorgeous cat in the tweet above, we decided to find out if @ikuyasu_elddrd had any more cat photos posted on Twitter. We’re happy to report that she did!

▼This was the first picture we found. It defies both explanation and context.

▼As it turns out, there is more than one cat in the Twitter user’s home. The male, on the left, weighs in at 4 kg (8.8 lbs) and the female, on the right, is 3 kg (6.6 lbs).

▼D’awww! So cuuu–wait, is kitty…eating its friend?!

▼”Draw me like one of your French girls.”

▼According to @ikuyasu_elddrd, this cat is usually well behaved–except when it gets on the sofa!
“Whoa…what happened? Oh, god, no! I did it again! I swear, that’s the last time I do cat nip. Okay, maybe the second to last time…”

As we mentioned before, @ikuyasu_elddrd loves drawing as much as she loves her cats. And it shows! Here is a tweet of some drawings she did as presents. We’re totally jealous of the recipient!

▼We want portraits for Christmas!

▼And here is a drawing of the three male cats in her parents’ house.

Finally, if you’re wondering why the kitty was so adamant about staying on the toilet, @ikuyasu_elddrd said that it’s probably because the spot was cool and a perfectly tight fit for the cat. Which, in other words, would be the perfect place to nap this summer.

Hmmm…now where can we find a giant-sized toilet bowl…
