The idea of the “lifehack” – at least as far as the Internet knows it – has been around long enough that we’ve long since progressed from wide-eyed, childlike wonderment at the simple genius of saving a bagel in a CD spindle, to dubiousness and bafflement at the increasingly complex and hit-or-miss lifehacks folks are tossing out these days.

So, forgive us for still being on the fence about how we feel towards this next lifehack: Behold, the “Baby Wipe Lid Chip Saver.”

As you can see, the baby wipe lid chip saver can be created at your very own home by taking off the lid of one of those soft packs of baby wipes or moist towelettes, and then affixing it to a bag of chips with a hole cut out of the front. So far, so good – if a little labor-intensive for something that’s apparently intended to save time – but where things get a little iffy is the fact that the original uploader of this lifehack makes no mention of how exactly you’re supposed to affix the lid.

So, this could be one of those “good” lifehacks that actually work as intended, or one of those bad, showoff-y lifehacks that look cool on Pinterest but don’t actually work like they’re supposed to.

In the name of science we set out to recreate the baby wipe lid chip saver, but just ended up eating all the chips in one sitting and watching cartoons. If you’re able to pull this one off, though, by all means drop us a line and let us know if it was worth it!
