That delicious combination of peanuts, caramel and nougat all coated in chocolate known as Snickers has been around for ages. But I always wondered why it was called “Snickers.” Apparently named after a horse belonging to the Mars candy dynasty, it seemed like an odd name despite its inherent zip.

In what initially looks like an even weirder move, Snickers will open a barbershop in Omotesando, Tokyo giving away free haircuts for a limited time this month. Although seemingly random on the surface, a quick glance at the choice of hairstyle will show you why. These styles will guarantee you get snickers everywhere you go.

Snickers Hungry Barber will be opened for six non-consecutive days (see below) during the month of December in Zerobase Omotesando. Haircuts will be free of charge and best arranged by appointment to ensure service. There are eight styles to choose from including mohican, bakuhatsu (explosion), hevimeta (heavy metal/mullet), and omakase (“leave it to me”) which looks like the best choice as you get free candy bars inserted into it.

With the holiday season fast approaching and all the corporate events and meetings with loved-ones that come along with it, you want to look your best. Then again, free is free, so why not book a trim with the Snickers Hungry Barber and get some snickers both inside your stomach and behind your back?
