Around the world, 15 July is Prime Day over at the online retailer Amazon. This is the day when members of their subscription service Amazon Prime get in on one big sale that they claim is as big as it gets.

And it certainly is looking big, according to a sneak peak of four items that will be on sale come Prime Day. One of them is a set of 12 original works by Final Fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano valued at 260,000,000 yen (US$2,150,000) on every day except Prime Day!

Here is a run-down of the four items announced thus far.

Apocalypse by Yoshitaka Amano

Apocalypse is a set of 12 original paintings by Amano who is mostly famous for his Final Fantasy illustrations throughout his prolific career. These works contain images of the four horsemen and many more, each bearing Amano’s instantly recognizable style.

The Amano Yoshitaka Art Museum is asking 260,000,000 yen for the complete set, but on Prime Day this can be yours for the low, low price of 200,000,000 yen ($1,650,000)!

And just because you’re such a nice buyer, they’ll throw in a DVD of Amano’s works valued at 1,080 yen ($8.90) for no extra charge.

Estonia Grand Piano 168 Queen Anne

The Estonia name is well established for its unique sound and beautiful handcrafted designs to please both the eye and the ear. Amazon isn’t revealing the price yet and Estonia doesn’t typically reveal its prices (because that would be gauche).

However, word online seems to have regular 168 models at around 3,000,000 yen ($25,000). We have no idea how this Queen Anne style walnut body would affect that estimate nor do we know what kind of discount Amazon has in store for this single piano that will be available on Prime Day.

MSI GT80 2QE Titan SLI Dragon Edition Gaming Laptop

A marked improvement over the currently available MSI GT80 laptop designed for gaming. The Dragon Edition crams in an additional 1TB SSD to its 1TB HDD as well as upping the RAM from 8GB to 32GB. It’s also jazzed up with two GeForce GTX980M GPUs in SLI. Other than that it’s still got the Core i7 processor, 18.4-inch screen.

▼ The Regular MSI GT80

Considering the basic GT80 is going for 334,584 yen ($2,758) after adding in the enhancements and subtracting the Prime Day discount the Dragon Edition might well come to about the same amount. Then again, anything can happen on Prime Day.

Amazon 20th Anniversary Special Edition of Weekly Bungeishunju

In celebration of this 20th Anniversary of Amazon, Japan’s premier publishing company is releasing a special collection of literary works as chosen by former editors-in-chief over the past 20 years.

It’s pretty cool, but not quite in the same league as the other items. Actually, I’m not sure why I decided to close with this one. Hmm, this could be why my long-term relationships never seem to work out…

Anyway, while I do some much-needed soul-searching, you be sure to keep an eye on Amazon Japan as they unveil more items that will go on sale this Prime Day. Signs indicate that they’ll be giving frequent updates leading up to 15 July.
