With so many traditional arts, customs and practices, it’s not hard to fall in love with Japanese culture. For one French couple, it was a night of origami paper-folding with a Japanese friend that left a big impression. Intrigued by the art, they set upon a journey to recreate the folded designs in metal and not long afterwards, a gorgeous jewellery collection was born, featuring delicate animals, birds, crustaceans and dinosaurs.

The two French designers behind the brand, Claire Naa and Arnaud Soulignac, were introduced to origami one winter’s night by their Japanese friend, Masayuki Muraki. They were amazed by the endless possibilities and so inspired by the paper figures’ beauty that they continued to fold designs well into the night.

▼ In 2008, they produced their first metal jewellery piece: a peace crane.

▼ This was followed by a rabbit, a deer and even a Triceratops!

▼ At 2.5–3 centimetres (0.98–1.18 inches), the petite size of the delicately folded metal designs enhances their cuteness.

Now their designs have found a universal appeal, with their collection available online and in stores all around the world. Customers can choose from a variety of necklaces, bracelets, rings and cufflinks.
