Those aren’t Pokéballs!

Police in Fukui Prefecture are reporting that a high school student was approached by a flasher while playing Pokémon Go in a local park. According to her statement, she was walking through the park at around 10:10 P.M. focused on her smartphone when a man in his thirties approached her, pulled down his pants, and showed her his, ah, actual pocket monster.

This is only the latest in a string of accidents and other incidents involving players distracted by the popular new game.

The police counseled Pokémon Go players to remain alert to their surroundings, particularly when walking alone at night, and to immediately run and call loudly for help or phone the police if they see anyone acting suspicious.

I know you’ve got to catch ’em all, but stay safe out there, trainers! Perhaps you should try our Poké-han device to keep your hands free for self defense.
