Intense video reminds us that the power of nature is not something to take lightly.

The following video was posted on YouTube on 28 July, the same day what is thought to have been a tornado struck Bắc Ninh province in Vietnam.

It starts off showing a marketplace in the drizzling rain. People can be seen chatting and walking about, completely unaware of what’s coming. Then, although it’s hard to see anything on the video, the people in the car are clearly spooked by something.

We then see the people on the street begin running away and evacuating their stalls and shops, and pieces of debris begin to fly through the air.

The driver puts the car into reverse and begins to back out of the path of what is believed to have been a tornado. As he slowly rolls backwards the entire marketplace gets wiped out in mere seconds.

And then, just as fast as it started, things instantly go calm again.

The way everything happens is so surreal you’d think you were watching a big-budget Hollywood movie. The next video shows the storm from other vantage points to get a sense of its size.

Thankfully, according to the Telegraph, there were no injuries as a result of the storm.

As the video shows, this kind of weather can be so sudden that no one in that marketplace was aware of it until only seconds before it hit. The suddenness and power of natural disasters are no joke and we should always keep alert and be prepared.
