The famous delicacy from Toyama Prefecture is now one of the most sought after sweets in the heart of Tokyo!
One of the things people love to do along Harajuku’s bustling, narrow, people-packed Takeshita Dori shopping strip is eat crêpes. With a numerous crêperies showing off walls of glossy plastic replicas in glass showcases, and the sweet smell of batter lingering in the air, it’s hard to walk down the street without joining one of the queues filled with high school girls and excited giggling Lolitas.

Now there’s a new crêperie on the scene, and it’s drawing crowds of sweets lovers to its window with the promise of a unique flavour: crème brûlée. Called “comcrepe”, the company hails from Toyama Prefecture, where it’s already made a name for itself with the crispy-topped signature sweet, and the new store in Harajuku is proving to be a hit, with customers lining up down the street to get a taste of their delicious crêpes.
Opened in July, the crêperie has a huge number of flavours available. But the one that everyone wants to try is the spectacular “Crêpe Brûlée”, which was first introduced to Japan by comcrepe.
Customers have been making mouths water online with their photos of the delicious sweet.
