The hilarious wonder of the crazy Pen Pineapple Apple Pen music video knows no borders.

The Fine Brothers Entertainment YouTube Channel has interviewed a bunch of kids asking their take on the wildly popular Pen Pineapple Apple Pen video with varying reactions.

The nonsensical music video, made by Japanese comedian and DJ Kosaka Daimou, has garnered millions of views and spawned hundreds of copycats and parodies. Daimou plays the character of “Piko-taro” in the PPAP video.

You can see the reactions of the kids here:

As you may imagine the kids are just as confused as a lot of adults were when they first see the Pen Pineapple Apple Pen Video. Here are some of the reactions from the kids after first watching the video:

“What the heeeeck?”
“What does that even mean?”
“Who wears that much animal print?”
“I don’t know what he’s doing but I like it”

The interviewer goes on to ask the children about their thoughts on the video. He starts off by asking them, “What is the video?”

To which they respond:

“It was this guy with an invisible apple and an invisible pen”
“Apple Pen for life!”
“It was funny, it was entertaining, I loved it. It was just very cheesy”

The interviewer also asks the kids, “What do you think Pen Pineapple Apple Pen means?”

“It’s probably some weird product”
“It’s the ultimate fruity pen”
“I feel like it’s gonna be something that makes no sense”

Finally the kids get up off their chairs to give the Pen Pineapple Apple Pen dance a try. It seems that knowing the exact moves isn’t a prerequisite for grooving to the PPAP beat.

Here are some of the comments about the KIDS REACT video:

“Yes finally ahahaha!!! :D Omg so crack up this video!!! xD”
“The kid at 24 seconds is Derrick Zoolander, my mind is blown”
“He reminds me of PSY”

If you haven’t had enough of Piko-taro you can see his latest video here called “Neo Sunglasses”:
