These furry brooches look amazing … and the best part? You don’t have to worry about creating holes in your clothes or bags!

A recent Twitter post by Japanese felt artist Yukarin (user @ysfeltart11) caught our attention with the sheer cuteness and creativity of her work. She actually created a hamster brooch that you can use on clothes or bags that you don’t want to pierce with a pin — a brooch that attaches with a strong magnet!

Apparently, this is an idea that Yukarin had wanted to make into an product for some time, and judging from the pictures, it looks like she did a pretty darn good job! If you place the brooch on a bag, it actually looks like a golden hamster has burrowed its way through the bag and is poking its head through the hole! According to Yukarin, the furry little guy could look just as cute on the pocket of your clothes, and we absolutely agree.  While the magnet used in the brooch is quite powerful, the brooch comes with a chain to secure it just in case the magnet comes loose, but if you decide you don’t need the chain, it can also be detached.

Yukarin says she had been trying for a long time to think of a design that would allow the brooch to be attached to leather bags on which pins or clips wouldn’t work, and this is what she came up with.

▼ Awww …. simply irresistible!

▼ This is what the brooch itself looks like.

And she’s also created a Djungarian hamster version of the brooch as well. This one even comes with a cute tooshie!

▼ Yup, just look at that adorable behind!

Yukarin, who has a background in computer graphics design, works with wool felt to produce animal dolls in a style she describes as “life-like kawaii”. If you like cute, furry items, you can see more of her work on her Y’s Felt Art website, and while it seems like the brooches aren’t on sale at this time, some of her creations are available on Etsy and Creema.

We have to admit, we’re captivated by these felt critters. Who else wants a hamster peeking out of their bag or pocket?
