A quick glance at the name of Japanese cake maker Priroll should tell you that they specialize in roll cakes. What might not be so readily apparent is that the “Pri” stands for “printing.” Customers can include a photo when ordering, which Priroll will then reproduce on the side of one of its desserts, making it a great choice for birthdays, graduations, or other celebrations.

Being able to reproduce any image on this sweet, spongy canvas, though, means that the folks at Priroll aren’t limited to using just photographs, though. If you want, they can also whip you up an anime cake.

Priroll currently has three official anime designs on offer. The newest features Ichigo, protagonist of the supernatural action epic Bleach.

Just 2,000 yen (US$20) gets you the standard Bleach. But like any true action manga hero, Ichigo can go up in levels of awesomeness. The 3,500 yen version lets you add a message, and if you completely power the cake up to its 4,500 yen form, you can add a photo too. Priroll’s website shows a picture of a smiling girl and “happy birthday,” but in theory you could also add a picture of your mortal enemy with Ichigo threatening to go to town on him with the giant sword/meat cleaver he has draped across his shoulder blades.

If you’re worried that Ichigo’s stoic expression will spoil your sugar rush, you could opt for a Naruto cake instead. Like all of Priroll’s anime cakes, it measures 16 centimeters (6.3 inches) long by 9 centimeters wide and 7.5 centimeters tall. Shipping costs from 500 to 1,400 yen, depending on location, and takes five days.

And if both of those designs have just too much testosterone for you, there’s a third featuring one of anime’s original magical girls, the Magical Angel herself, Creamy Mami. It’s just the thing for joyously celebrating the TV series’ 30th anniversary, or to console yourself with while recovering from the heartbreak of its recent failed North American release Kickstarter campaign.
