fqw_00Ever wondered how you could show the passage of time in a single picture?

Singaporean photographer Fong Qi Wei has come up with a fantastic way to do just that. The highly acclaimed still-shot artist, having already won several awards for his nature photography, spent some time in the city creating some fascinating images that will blow your mind!

Focusing mainly on sunrises and sunsets, Fong Qi Wei spent between two to four hours at a single location, photographing images of Singapore’s Chinatown, sunsets along the water’s edge, cityscapes, and more as they took on different hues with the passage of time. He calls the series, Time is a Dimension.

“I work in the confines of a photographic print, because I like to do so,” says the artist himself on his personal website. “But in a way, I wanted to break out of this restriction of a single slice of time in photography.”
