There’s probably a scientific explanation for almost everything in the world, and that includes ice cream. Of course we knew there was some science going on in those delicious scoops of frozen creamy goodness, but this laboratory-themed ice cream parlor in Busan, Korea, works the science right in front of your eyes!

If you’ve never had ice cream made straight out of a laboratory flask, topped with syringes and droppers, read on!

Just by looking at the next few photos, would you have guessed that this is in a shop that sells ice cream?

Definitely not the typical equipment you’ll find in a kitchen, because this is not your average ice cream shop. Here at FLASK Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream, the staff are dressed in white lab coats as they concoct freshly made ice cream poured out of laboratory flasks, mixed on the spot and frozen with the use of liquid nitrogen. Depending on the customer’s flavor of choice, sometimes a blowtorch is involved in the making process too!
