Think you know your Nintendo? Our pals over at BuzzFeed have just released one of their famous “BuzzFeed Pop” videos which reveals a whole host of little-known facts about the House of Mario.

Join us after the jump to test your knowledge and find out how much of your life you’re wasting indoors.

Because I love video games and spent most of my formative years working on my high scores rather than developing social skills, I have to admit I knew all of these facts except for the one about Mario’s jump. It’s a weird feeling — kind of like being given a plaque with “Lankiest Kid in Class” engraved on it. (For the record I was, but my achievement was never formally acknowledged. Perhaps one day.)

Here’s BuzzFeed’s Nin-tastic vid!

How did you fare? Anything in there that you didn’t already know, or did you spend the duration of the video scoffing at the thought that there are people who weren’t aware of the facts being presented?

Oh, and for the record, the North American SNES, which appeared around 40 seconds into the video, was really, really ugly. There, I said it. Prove my theory that people who prefer the blocky, grey-and-purple version smell of cheese by disagreeing with me in the comments section.

Left: The sleek and sexy Japanese Super Famicom/European SNES. Right: A transformer masquerading as a video game console. Burn!
