shinpu

Whether you’re a fan of anime or not, you’ll love Shinpu’s covers of Attack on Titan and Dragon Ball’s theme songs combining Japanese flutes, taiko, and even beatboxing.

We have to admit that we have a soft spot for traditional Japanese music—though you’ve probably already noticed. So, it should come as no surprise that we instantly loved the music that Shinpu is producing!

The two members of Shinpu (written with the kanji 神風, which you might recognize as “kamikaze”) are Misugu Oshima, who plays the taiko and shinobue, a Japanese flute, and Kazunari Yamamoto, also known as MC ZU-nA, an award-winning Japanese beatboxer.

The duo released their first video on August 31 and they have been releasing weekly covers ever since, so if you’re enjoying their sound as much as we are, be sure to subscribe to their YouTube channel! So far, they’ve covered everything from anime theme songs to tunes by T.M. Revolution, so there’s something for everyone!

The pair is just getting started, but we expect to see a lot more of them in the future! We just can’t decide who we want them to cover next, BABYMETAL or KBG84
