Get ready for another One Piece Film Gold, hitting theaters July 23, 2016!

Following the success of One Piece Film Z, the 13th movie installment announced earlier this year finally has a name and release date.

Due out in theaters just in time for next year’s summer vacation and titled “Gold”, the film will be directed by Hiroaki Miyamoto from the TV anime One Piece and assistant director from One Piece: Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island. Series mastermind Eiichiro Oda will be returning as executive producer, and Tsutomu Kuroiwa (Liar Game series) is in charge of the screenplay.

The tagline reads:

“You can see the gleam in Luffy’s eyes as he stares out from behind the letters of the word Gold!!
Could there be some kind of meaning behind it?!”

Fans are already speculating from the title that it might be about Pirate King Gol D. Roger, and give a little more backstory to character that originally inspired Luffy to gather his crew and search for treasure.

Die hard fans who plan to see it in theaters no matter what can purchase advance tickets from December 18, with pre-sale ticket bonus details outlined in the second 2016 issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, which will hit newsstands on December 14.

More information will be posted on the film’s official site as it becomes available.
