Finally, fans of the boob-centric video game franchise will get the wrist support they need.

When you have a hit video game, it stands to reason that any licensed merchandise will try to capitalize on its most popular and easily identifiable assets. So while there’s a never-ending parade of plush Pokémon stuffed animals for fans of that series, when it comes to mammary-focused martial arts/beach volleyball franchise Dead or Alive, the merch is going to be boob-themed.

With the controversial Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 a sales success for publisher Koei Tecmo, Japanese mousepad maker Softgarage has bounced into action and turned two of the series newest stars, from the chest up, into mousepads.

DA 1

While there have been plenty of anime character bust (and butt) mouse pads that have come before, Softgarage’s Dead or Alive pads are unique in that they’re “life-sized,” being made to the exact scale provided in the rather extensive bust information portions of the characters’ official profiles.

DA 2

In the case of character Honoka, that means Softgarage’s most amply-endowed product ever. Honoka’s chest extends some 11 centimeters (4.3 inches) above whatever flat surface you’ve laid the pad down on, meaning that it’s probably going to be uncomfortably high to use for its ostensible purpose as a wrist pad.

But on the other hand, all that high-grade, super soft silicone apparently works great as a cushion to bounce a volleyball off of.

DA 4

And, perhaps because Dead or Alive Extreme 3 includes pole-dancing as part of its in-game content, Softgarage also has an extended demonstration video of the Honoka mousepad which shows the product having its boobs mashed with what appears to be a clothes drying rod.

▼ Obviously not safe for work, unless maybe if you work at the clothes drying rod factory.

But while Dead or Alive is most famous for its cast of buxom bare-knuckle fighters/tropical vacationists, Marie Rose, introduced to the character lineup in 2013, has emerged as a dark horse alternative for admirers of less chesty physiques, and so she too was chosen to become a Softgarage mousepad.

DA 5

In comparison to Honoka’s 11-centimeter-tall mountainous bounty, the Marie Rose pad is a more molehill-like three centimeters in height.

DA 8

Oddly enough, Softgarage has also released specs regarding the weight of each pad, broken down further into how much the bust of each weighs. While both pads have identically sized bases of roughly 38 centimeters wide by 28 centimeters long, the Honoka pad tips the scale at 2.1 kilograms (4.6 pounds), of which 1.6 kilograms is boobs. The Marie rose pad, meanwhile, is a far daintier 800 grams (1.8 pounds), with just 300 grams of mammary matter.

▼ We honestly never expected to be discussing boob weights even once, let alone for a second time.

DA 9

But as any amateur breast enthusiast or certified boob sommelier will tell you, size is merely one aspect of bust quality. As such, there’s no price break in choosing the more modestly endowed Marie Rose model. Both mousepads are identically priced at 24,840 yen (US$232), and can be ordered here and here directly from Softgarage, with shipping scheduled for late June.
