First third-generation Pokémon launch on Friday..

Niantic announced on Thursday that Ghost-type Pokémon from the Hoenn region will debut in its Pokémon GO smartphone game for this year’s Halloween event. The new Pokémon will be the first in the game from the main game series’ third generation. The in-game Halloween event will launch on Friday at 3:00 pm. EDT and end on November 2 at 4:00 p.m. EDT.

The video features the third-generation Pokémon Sableye, Duskull, Dusclops, Shuppet, and Banette. Niantic also announced that the rest of the Pokémon that debuted in the Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire games will gradually appear in the game beginning in December.

In addition, a special version of Pikachu wearing a witch’s hat will be available in the game during the event, and “spooky Pokémon” will have increased spawns. Players will be able to earn double Candy during the event, similar to last year’s Halloween celebration. Mimikyu’s Disguise Hat will debut for avatars during the event, and special boxes with Raid Passes and Super Incubators will also be available for purchase.

The Legendary Pokémon Raikou, Entei, and Suicune debuted in the game on August 31. Raikou was available in September, Entei is available in October, and Suicune will be available in November in North America. Niantic is also currently testing the invitation-only EX Raid Battle system, which is now offering Mewtwo as a Raid Boss.

The Pokémon GO app launched in select countries including the United States in July 2016, and has since launched in more than 50 countries. Baby Pokémon from Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver, the game’s first second-generation Pokémon, debuted in December. Most of the remaining Pokémon from the Johto region launched in the smartphone game in February.
