Twenty-year-old Ayaka Sawada has a lot going for her. To begin with, she’s currently a junior in the Faculty of Education at the University of Tokyo (Todai for short), the most prestigious university in Japan. Secondly, she is the newly appointed weather forecaster on NTV’s Sunday morning program Shuichi. Thirdly, she’s drop-dead gorgeous, and was even crowned “Miss Todai 2013”! Is there anything this girl can’t do?

It’s also safe to cross art off that list, because it turns out that Ayaka’s also talented at drawing. Her profile lists drawing as one of her special skills, but we were still impressed by the following adorable sketches made by her!

The following is Ayaka Sawada’s April 16 official blog post, titled “Drawings.”

Hello everyone! (ノ)`ω´(ヾ) Thank you as always for your wonderful comments!!

Today I’d like to talk a bit about my hobbies. I have many hobbies, but for now I think I’ll just focus on my drawings φ(*’д’* )

Here are three of my recent doodles:

Even though I say “recent,” they’re actually from a few months ago. Usually I just draw on my tablet whenever inspiration comes to me. One sketch takes about 10 to 15 minutes ( ´・ω・`)

I like to draw whenever a good idea pops into my head, so I don’t usually draw famous characters or anything like that. But here’s a picture of the main character from a movie released last year called SPEC:

Apart from that, the majority of my drawings are original creations ( ˙-˙ ; )

When I draw on paper, this is what it looks like:

After I drew the outline with pen, I thought it needed color, so I tried adding some watercolor paint. Generally I use pencils or brown colored pencils to draw the lines, and then fill the rest in with the watercolors. I love finishing a picture with beautiful watercolors  (っ´ω`c) But I also love using just colored pencils, too.

So that’s my hobby! LOL. But lately I’ve been in a slump and can’t think of what to draw 。°(°`ω´ °)°。 Feel free to leave any requests for me in the comments section, and I just might draw them in my spare time!

Thanks for reading!! I also post drawings on my Twitter occasionally, so please check that out. And of course, please come back to this blog again! (灬ºωº灬)

Well, we’re impressed – these are some seriously cute doodles!

If you have a good idea for something Ayaka could draw, be sure to drop her line. You might see it turn up in one of her future blog entries!
